LOWER PROVIDER TO CHILD RATIOS
Unity Child Care is licensed through Hennepin County. We operate under an A license which allows us to take in 10 children 6 weeks to 5 years. We choose to keep our group on the smaller side always operating UNDER that full capacity number. Our small class allows for valuable one-on-one time and a personalized approached to care. Our group typically runs at a 1:5 provider/child ratio. Our small groups allow us to really know the children in our care.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT KNOWLEDGE
Provider has ten plus years of experience and a AAS in Child Development. The environment, practices, philosophy and all aspects of care have been heavily influenced by knowledge of how children develop. We work to develop the whole child. Our approach is to enrich physical, cognitive and most importantly, social and emotional and emotional development.
REGGIO EMILIA INSPIRED CURRICULUM
Regio Emilia is an approach to Child Care that promotes creativity in curriculum and wonder in the environment. Our child care space is carefully designed to mimic nature and create a sense of calm and wonder. Our curriculum is structed and flexible at the same time to allow for children's interests. All growth is documented and shared with parents daily.
