 Learning Space

Our learning space is where we spend most of our day. This area was carefully created to mimic a natural  feeling to provide a sense of calm one might experience in nature. We are inspired by Reggio Emilia approach and do our best to add "wonder" to every corner.  The full lower level  of our home is a dedicated space for our child care.  The play/learning room is intentionally designed specifically for infants and toddlers. We believe the environment is the 3rd teacher. The room is divided into interest areas and each area targets multiple areas of development. Our  materials are educational and magical to foster imagination and creation. Children are really learning through play here!

Outdoor Space

We have spacious fenced in back yard. Our lower level door is also located inside the fence where we exit for outdoor play. We are safe outside. We created a paved patio in a fun circle shape perfect for riding bikes, cars and push toys. We offer slides, swings, tunnels and climbers to encourage physical growth. We plan to use our outside space twice a day everyday, unless the weather is dangerous.

Mealtime Space

The only time we venture upstairs is during mealtimes and snack times. Our kitchen is located conveniently at the top of the stairs and is gated off to the rest of the home.  Heading upstairs for mealtimes allows for a change of scenery and a  window view to the neighborhood action. We eat as a group at a child sized table with transitional infant/toddler chairs. The table is located in the kitchen so I have full supervision while preparing food. All meals will be prepped in advance to keep this transition as smooth as possible. The kitchen is also a licensed child care space and follows all safety guidelines.
